2022 Season Overview*

We have consulted with foresters and discussed internally about some changes for start dates.  The most affected camps are Jake, Spencer and Tammy.  Here is the lowdown.  We will send out a note to each affected camp to go over the rationale.  Please review what is below and if there is anything that stands out let us know.

Graham Pitfield Camp

​This camp will start near Williams Lake hopefully in late April, government contract with one large block from the 2017 fire. Prices here will range from 14-16 cents. This camp will then move to the North Babine area on a Canfor project. Prices here will range from 15-18 cents. The remainder of the spring/summer season will be on other Canfor projects North of Fort St James with prices ranging from 15-19 cents.

Tammy Laidlaw Camp

This camp will start the season Early May in Saskatchewan and spend the majority of the month there. Base price 14 cents. Then the camp will move to High Level for the remainder of the season. Base price 13 cents.

Spencer Burnie Camp

This camp will be starting in the Vanderhoof/Fort St James area working on the Sinclair Group Forest Products project. Prices here will range from 15-18 cents.  Camp will then move North of Fort St James to known camps near Tchentlo and Germansen Lake for the remainder of the season. Working on Canfor projects with prices ranging 15-18 cents.

Emile LeClair Camp

This camp will start in Barriere Lakes. In June, this camp will move to Whitecourt planting for Canfor (formerly Millar Western) for the remainder of the spring. Summer trees will continue in Whitecourt and go until the 3rd week of July. Prices here will range from 13-17 cents​.

Jake Courtney Camp

This camp will start be starting in Barriere working for Tolko. Trenches on this contract will be 14-17 cents and the remainder of the raw plant will be 17-22 cents. This camp will then move to work on one of the Canfor projects in the Fort St James area for the remainder of spring. Prices will range from 15-18 cents. Summer work will be for Canfor Prince George East of PG with prices ranging from 17-22 cents.
