FIRST NATIONS YOUTH TRAINING
The First Nations Youth Training Program is a work and training opportunity for Indigenous youth who are interested in future employment in the natural resources and hospitality sectors. The program has a structured environment for graduates to develop their own unique potential. We hope our participants will graduate our program not only in possession of these skills, but also with a newfound sense of confidence and an awareness of their full capabilities.
The first priority for the program is the establishment of a strong foundation. Our program to date has been developed in partnership with regional First Nations organizations and support from governmental organizations and industry partners. Our intent is to build on our success thus far, and to continually evolve the training that we offer in order to maximize its value to our participants. The certificates and training from the most recent program are outlined in the program posting to the right.
The experience gained in the program will help build self confidence and leadership skills that are lifelong, and a support network of friends from across BC.
Our current program is running from February 10-March 20, 2020 in Campbell River, BC
Our next program will be in Quesnel, BC from August 17th to Sep 18th. This program is available to participants from throughout British Columbia, if you are interested please fill out the online application. Travel and accommodation will be provided. Additional program dates will be announced soon.
