Blue Collar Camps is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to support our projects throughout Western Canada. This is a full-time position based at our head office in Quesnel, BC. Blue Collar installs and demobilizes temporary and permanent structures, including remote camps, offices, field units, multi-unit housing and modular schools.

Blue Collar has been operating since 1983. Our trained staff includes machine operators, carpenters, plumbers, safety personnel (National Construction Safety Officers) and project managers. Blue Collar maintains a well-equipped and organized tool inventory and our safety record meets and exceeds industry standard. Blue Collar services the construction, oil and gas, mining, energy and forestry sectors.

Blue Collar Camps is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to support our projects throughout Western Canada. This is a full-time position based at our head office in Quesnel, BC. Blue Collar installs and demobilizes temporary and permanent structures, including remote camps, offices, field units, multi-unit housing and modular schools.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide job planning, detailed estimating, and online software updates
- Ability to review contracts, prepare RFQ’s, secure sub-contractors and manage suppliers
- Assist Project Managers with project costing, client communications, purchasing, contract administration, and change management.
- Liaise with Clients, document and communicate Client’s Change Orders
- Schedule employee and subcontractor flights and travel details for construction project sites, when needed.
- Coordinate and liaise with customers and trades at office or onsite.
- Assist in maintaining and updating job status, as well as schedules.
- Prepare take-offs, purchase material and supplies and organize documentation.
- Organize and administer construction related expenses: supply and material costs, timesheets, labour costs, equipment costs and project cost management.
- Provide assistance with the project specific HSE plan
- Work closely with Project Managers and Site Superintendents.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have two years of Construction Office experience. Experience with modular industry would be an asset.
- Must be able to read and understand design drawings, specification sheets, manuals and construction related documentation.
- Exceptionally organized.
- Must be able to multi task projects and coordinate with Project Managers.
- Must be knowledgeable with WCB regulations and construction safety policies and procedures.
- Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office and experience in Project Management software.
- Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and within a team environment.
- Must have a valid drivers license and clean driver abstract, be comfortable driving a company vehicle if necessary.
