PLANTING TODAY
About
The Blue Collar Forest Renewal Program is working with our Indigenous partners to replant fire impacted reserve lands, ecosystem rehabilitation and establish new forests.
We partner with Federal and Provincial agencies and lumber companies to enhance biodiversity, carbon sequestration, and forest resilience.
Our indigenous partners benefit from this partnership through economic development, employment opportunities and project management participation.
This renewal program will
- Help Achieve Emissions reductions for our future
- Collaborate with First Nations communities in stewarding this project and the renewal of our forests.
- Help in the fight against climate change.
An investment in our forests today will help reduce the impact of climate change tomorrow.
FIRST NATIONS TRAINING AND CAPACITY BUILDING
Blue Collar has worked with First Nations communities throughout British Columbia and Alberta since 2009. Our focus is on building capacity with First Nations communities in contract management and labor force development. We currently have several active First Nations Partnerships in BC.
A priority for Blue Collar has been the development of the First Nations Youth Training Program to help youth to acquire the skills and employment training required to work in the resource sectors. www.bluecollargroup.ca/fnytp.html
